Where Is S.J. From The Blind Side Now?
In 2009, director John Lee Hancock's "The Blind Side" wowed audiences with its emotional performances and storytelling. Based on the book "The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game" by Michael Lewis, the film has a perfectly cast lineup of actors, from Sandra Bullock in her Oscar-winning role of Leigh Anne Tuohy to Quinton Aaron's gripping performance as Michael Oher.
However, there's another actor in "The Blind Side" who did an excellent job bringing his character to life. Jae Head plays Bullock's on-screen son, S.J. The youngest member of the Tuohy family, S.J. has an especially close relationship with Michael. Head was only 12 years old when he delivered the role of S.J. perfectly in "The Blind Side" and won best performance by a youth – male at the Phoenix Film Critics Society Awards (via IMDb). With so many years having passed, however, some are wondering where S.J. from "The Blind Side" is now.
Jae Head has continued his acting career
Since the release of "The Blind Side" in 2009, actor Jae Head has continued to perform on-screen. One of his more recent roles is the character of Luke Hayes on the popular Western drama series "Yellowstone." He's also made appearances in movies like the 2015 musical drama "Bravetown" and the 2017 comedy-drama "The Bachelors" and in TV series such as "How I Met Your Mother," "Friday Night Lights," and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit."
In a 2020 interview with "The Elite Sports Podcast," Head talks about moving back to Texas, his love of sports, and how his knowledge of football helped him land his role in "The Blind Side" when he was younger. It's been a long time since Head acted as S.J., but it's clear that he's kept busy and continued to perform with the same level of talent that caused millions of people to fall in love with the classic family dynamic in "The Blind Side."
