The Justice League Character You Are Based On Your Zodiac Sign
The Justice League is, easily, one of the greatest defenders of the DC Universe. The League has the strength of Superman, the detective skills of Batman, and access to the Lantern Corps. via Green Lantern and Atlantis via Aquaman. They are a force to be reckoned with. While the Justice League has taken over the big screen as of late with Zack Snyder's "Justice League" being released last year, the League has dominated the small screen for years with its animated content. The animated series, "The Justice League" delivered some of the best League's stories to date, and who could forget about the amazing alternate reality film "The Flashpoint Paradox?"
The Justice League is a household name, so we thought it would be fun to take a look and see which of these brave and bold heroes you relate with most. That's right, we're pulling out some zodiac signs courtesy of Co-Star to see which hero is a classic Virgo and which just screams Aries. Read on to find out the Justice League character you are based on your zodiac sign!
Batman is an Aries
The Dark Knight truly needs no introduction, but just in case you may be living under a rock, he's the caped crusader that prowls the streets of Gotham. He's a stubborn character, as he completely immerses himself in the underworld to catch his foes.
Aries are known to be determined, courageous, confident, aggressive, and passionate. Truly, these characteristics sum up Bats perfectly. Batman will stop at nothing to achieve his goal, even if that means sacrificing his personal feelings. Some may consider his passion to be at the point of obsession, but we believe that he simply considers himself to be determined. As one of a select few Justice League characters without powers, Batman is a skilled fighter and has been known to beat up villains in the name of justice. He leads with his confidence, as he's never known to be wrong, and is courageous to go out there and fight with the likes of Superman and Wonder Woman.
You can find Batman next in Matt Reeves' upcoming film, "The Batman" starring Robert Pattinson.
Cyborg is a Taurus
Cyborg has become a relatively newer member of the Justice League, as he was originally affiliated with the Teen Titans instead. However, he's proven himself to be a worthy ally to the team, with his calm, cool, and collected attitude. And although Cyborg is much younger than the rest of the League, this never seems to become an issue, as he's business first in most cases.
As a Taurus, Cyborg is a reliable, responsible, and stable character. He likes to take his time to assess a situation before colliding with it head-on. Like most Tauruses, he is devoted to his job with the League, possibly because, unlike many of his teammates, Cyborg does not have an alter ego. He spends most of his time on duty, as he doesn't have anything else. He values his teammates and his job, making him an incredibly loyal character. They're like his family.
Amazo is a Gemini
As a character, Amazo has gone through many iterations. However, for the purposes of this list, we're choosing to look at his portrayal in the animated series "The Justice League." In this series, Amazo was voiced by Robert Picardo, best known for his work as The Doctor on "Star Trek: Voyager" and Richard Woolsey in "Stargate: Atlantis."
In the series, Amazo was created by Professor Ivo out of nanotechnology. He was given the ability to copy characteristics of people, objects, and powers just by looking at them. Once he was manipulated by Lex Luthor (voiced by Clancy Brown), Amazo was a huge obstacle for the Justice League to try and defeat. However, as audiences saw more of Amazo, it became clear that, as a Gemini, Amazo was actually a gentle and curious soul. He traveled the galaxy looking for answers and chose to discover them with Dr. Fate. Amazo's powers made him adaptable, like a Gemini's are known to be, and affectionate towards those who were kind to him, like with his creator Professor Ivo. Amazo was one of the most powerful characters the League ever faced in the series, but in the end, his Gemini personality won out, and he was just a gentle teddy bear. You know, after he beat the entire League and casually destroyed a planet. But who's counting that?
Catwoman is a Cancer
Those with Cancer character traits are typically known for being caregivers. While they can be loyal, they're also known to be manipulative (sorry Cancers, don't come for us). Selina Kyle survived Gotham as a prostitute before becoming Catwoman, and while she had an affinity for stealing diamonds for herself, she would also steal for those in need.
This is why her relationship with Batman is so deliciously complex, as she's seen multiple times throughout her career helping people, but doesn't want to be known for her softer side. As a Cancer, Catwoman manipulates those around her (typically men) to get what she wants. She likes to be on the winning side, regardless of if that team changes from time to time. Zoë Kravitz will be the latest in a long line of actresses to take on the role of Catwoman in "The Batman." It will be interesting to see if she is a protector or a villain.
Wonder Woman is a Leo
Similar to Aries, Leo's are known for their passion. However, those who fall under the Leo characteristics are known to be determined, generous, and warm-hearted. These characteristics sound just like Wonder Woman, Themysciran Princess herself. Diana made the decision to leave Themyscira to go and help "man's world", also known as the rest of Earth. As a member of the Justice League, her goal is, of course, to help people, but Wonder Woman also believes that she can help Earth by spreading Amazonian ideals of love and generosity.
Wonder Woman will passionately do whatever it takes to achieve her goals. She takes that drive with her into every battle, stopping at nothing if she knows that even one person is in danger. Her compassion for people doesn't exclude her enemies either, as Wonder Woman has been known to extend her help to all who need it. While she's one of the strongest Justice League members, it's her determination that makes her such a great hero.
Batgirl is a Virgo
As a Virgo, Batgirl is an incredibly organized and resourceful character. After being shot and paralyzed by the Joker, Barbara Gordon took on the mantle of the Oracle to help the Justice League heroes from behind the scenes. Her organization allowed her to work alongside various League characters like Nightwing. She never let what happened to her slow her down, tapping into her resourcefulness to get the job done.
In HBO's series "Titans," Batgirl was recently introduced as the new Commissioner of Gotham. She's able to effortlessly juggle her tasks with the police force and work with the Titans. And when she's attacked, she shows that a wheelchair hasn't stopped her fighting skills. With a little hard work (as is the Virgo way), Barbara hasn't stopped making her dreams of being a crime fighter come true. She continues to fight in any way that she can, ensuring that Batgirl will always live on.
Superman is a Libra
If you're a Libra, you're known to be diplomatic and fair-minded, however, you might have slight self-pity as you tend to feel like you're carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders. When you think about Superman, nothing could be more true, as sometimes, he does carry the weight of the world. He's the only one strong enough after all.
Superman is a character that must balance between his personal life and his role in the Justice League. Due to his overwhelming strength, Supes must strike a diplomatic balance between what he can do and what's right. Countless reiterations in the DC Universe have shown what happens when Superman loses control and overthrows the entire world. With no one viable to ever be able to stop him, Superman digs deep into his Libra characteristics to keep a fair and open mind. While he might not agree with everyone's choices, he learns to respect them.
Green Lantern is a Scorpio
Resourceful, brave, and absolute are characteristics typically associated with Scorpios, and that seems to fit Hal Jordan as Green Lantern perfectly. While there have been many that were worthy enough to become a Green Lantern, Hal Jordan is, perhaps, the most popular — with John Stewart being a close second as he joined the Justice League in the animated series.
A Green Lantern must rely on resourcefulness to get the job done. As Lanterns represent the Lantern Corps, they must ensure that whatever choices they individually make, reflects positively make upon the other Lanterns. Their resourcefulness also comes in handy when using their powerful Lantern ring. The ring allows them to create anything they can imagine, and when it comes to fighting a battle, it must be helpful to have some unique ideas in your back pocket to use. As a Lantern, there's no denying Hal's commitment to preserving law and order. He's an absolute character who abides by keeping the world orderly and safe.
The Flash is a Sagittarius
Similar to the Green Lantern, there have been many to take on the mantle of The Flash. From Barry Allen to Wally West, the fastest man alive tends to vary from person to person in the DC Universe. However, for a clear Sagittarius personality, one only has to look at Bart Allen, the goofy and the loveable Impulse.
As a Sagittarius, Bart's Flash is idealistic, impatient (mostly due to his ability to tap into the speed force), and has a great sense of humor. As a typical kid, Bart enjoys cracking jokes and using his charm to make his way through life. He's an idealistic character who enjoys his powers rather than feeling the weight of them like his grandfather Barry. That being said, while Bart enjoys a good time, he does have a more serious side, as he can be very determined to protect those in need and do what's right. While Bart is a more carefree hero, he's still a hero nonetheless, and certainly deserves to take over the mantle as the fourth Flash after Jay Garrick, Barry Allen, and Wally West and a League member.
Martian Manhunter is a Capricorn
Martian Manhunter, or J'onn J'onzz as he sometimes goes by, is a stoic character. His Capricorn personality traits include being responsible and self-disciplined. While J'onn can be seen as a very serious character, he's quite well-mannered under the surface.
As one of the last remaining Martians left alive, J'onn thinks of Earth as his adoptive home and, much like Superman, he fiercely protects it. Due to the loss of his people, J'onn is more of a recluse than that of the other League members. He's not a Martian of many words, which adds to his serious nature. But he takes his responsibilities in the League incredibly seriously as, like Cyborg, he doesn't have much else besides his job. His self-discipline can be seen when he's fighting, as one of the most powerful members of the Justice League. He can often be seen holding back as not to inflict too much damage on his opponent.
Hawkgirl is an Aquarius
Hawkgirl is not always featured as a main League member, but she is nonetheless the perfect representative of an Aquarius. This is especially the case with the portrayal of her from the Justice League animated series. Voiced by Maria Canals-Barrera, Hawkgirl is shown to be an independent and temperamental character. She's often the first to fly into battle with her signature battle cry and prefers to use her fist (or mace) rather than her words. While she initially struggles to work on a team, Hawkgirl eventually grows to admire and respect her colleagues. When her Thanagarian people come to invade Earth, Hawkgirl makes the difficult choice to betray them and stand with the Justice League, proving that she's not just a soldier following orders.
As an Aquarius, Hawkgirl tends to run from any emotions that are not anger. This is perfectly seen when she's afraid to admit her feelings for Green Lantern John Stewart, and instead, chooses to pick fights with him rather than to talk about how she feels.
Aquaman is a Pisces
Putting the obvious aside the obvious imagery of the zodiac symbol being a fish, Aquaman embodies Pisces character traits. He's compassionate, intuitive, and wise, making him a clear pick for this zodiac sign. Aquaman is a character that's driven by his need to protect his kingdom Atlantis. His compassion for the creatures within the oceans knows no bounds, alongside his generosity towards the Atlantean people.
Aquaman is driven by his emotions, as a Pisces, he's an intuitive character who has a severe distrust of the surface world. However, as a founding member of the Justice League, he's found a balance between understanding the surface world and serving his people in Atlantis. As a king, Aquaman channels his wisdom to rule his people fairly. And he (wisely) depends on council from his wife Mera. You can see Jason Moma reprise his role as Aquaman in "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom," set to be released later on this year.
