Taraji P. Henson Cast In Wreck-It Ralph Sequel
Empire star Taraji P. Henson has joined the cast of Disney's Wreck-It Ralph sequel, Deadline has confirmed.
Disney announced Henson's casting during its animation panel at D23, the company's annual fan convention in Anaheim, California. Henson will play a highly intelligent algorithm named Yesss who partners with Ralph (John C. Reilly) and Vanellope von Schweetz (Sarah Silverman) as they dig through the Internet in search of a part that will repair a break in Sugar Rush.
Entitled Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2, the follow-up film picks up where the original film left off, but sees its main characters break out of their everyday arcade and take on the worldwide web. In addition to Reilly, Silverman, and now Henson, the pic also stars Jack McBrayer (30 Rock) as Fix-It Felix, Jane Lynch (Glee) as Sergeant Calhoun, and Ana Ortiz (Ugly Betty) in a yet-to-be-revealed voice role. It's currently unknown whether Alan Tudyk, the voice behind Turbo, will be back for the sequel.
Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 will reportedly now open on November 21, 2018, just another film we can't wait to see next year.
