Who Is The Actor In Caesar's Sportsbook Super Bowl 2022 Commercial?
In the US, this coming Sunday, February 13, will be one of the biggest sporting days of the years: Super Bowl Sunday. Millions of people will tune in to watch the big game – more than 96 million watched last year's game, (via CNBC) – but millions of those viewers most likely aren't interested in watching Joe Burrow's Bengals take on Matthew Stafford's Rams. Instead, they're watching for the always-popular Super Bowl Commercials.
This year, companies will spend an average of $5.5 million on 30-second spots that will air during the game (via The Sporting News). Like every year, the ads are slickly produced, eye-catching, and often feature some of the biggest celebrities in the world. If you're a fan of Super Bowl ads, you'll want to know who's who in this years crop.
One series of ads is for Caesar's Sportsbook, the online sports betting establishment and official betting partner of the NFL. The ad campaign features a blinged-out Julius Caesar in a variety of situations. In one ad titled "Longest Touchdown Dance," Caesar comes onscreen and, you guessed it, celebrates a touchdown with a dance for more than a minute (via iSpot). In another, he takes questions from a crowd of gamblers dressed like Roman citizens. One of them asks him how collect their betting winnings. The answer? You use the app (via YouTube). In a third, Caesar hosts Thanksgiving dinner with his queen Cleopatra and NFL greats Archie, Eli, and Peyton Manning, and explains to them how much the pilgrims enjoyed gambling.

It's comedy legend and national treasure JB Smoove
Yes, that's none other than JB Smoove. Comedy fans probably know him best as "Curb Your Enthusiasm" cast member Leon Black. Leon originally joined the show in the Season 6 premiere, "Meet the Blacks," which aired in 2007. That episode kicked off the season-long storyline about Larry (Larry David) and Cheryl (Cheryl Hines) taking in a family who had been displaced in a hurricane. While the rest of the Black family didn't stick around after Season 6 — except for Loretta (Vivica A. Fox), whom Larry briefly dated in Season 7 — Larry allows Leon to continue crashing at his place. Eventually, Leon becomes a permanent houseguest, Larry's friend, and his advisor on everything from race relations to household maintenance. In the most recent season, Season 11, Leon starts a "house husband" business where he gives people advice like a traditional husband would, on matters like car repair.
Besides "Curb," Smoove has been a series regular on two recent other shows: ABC's "The Millers," which ran from 2013 to 2015, and BET's "The Real Husbands of Hollywood" (2013-2016). He's also appeared in several films, including "Spider-Man: Far From Home," "Spider-Man: No Way Home," and "The Smurfs 2." Overall, Smoove has 87 film and TV credits, and you'd be hard pressed to find one of them in which he's not a delight (via IMDb).
