Is There A New SNL Episode On Tonight? (March 26, 2022)
There's nothing more frustrating than tuning into your favorite television program at the regularly scheduled time only to discover that it's airing a rerun instead, or worse, a different program entirely. We're here to help.
"Saturday Night Live" is currently in its 47th season since it began in 1975, and for many, tuning in on Saturday night's at 11:30 pm Eastern is still a weekly ritual. This season, "SNL" saw longtime castmember Beck Bennett depart the show, while adding three new featured players in Andrew Dismukes, James Austin Johnson, and Sarah Sherman. They joined returning cast members Aidy Bryant, Michael Che, Pete Davidson, Mikey Day, Chloe Fineman, Heidi Gardner, Colin Jost, Kate McKinnon, Alex Moffat, Kyle Mooney, Ego Nwodim, Chris Redd, Cecily Strong, Kenan Thompson, Melissa Villaseñor and Bowen Yang.
In terms of celebrity guests, so far this season's have been memorable. "Marry Me" and "Loki" star Owen Wilson kicked off the Season 47 premiere on October 2, 2021. Since then, other hosts have included Kim Kardashian, Jason Sudeikis, Paul Rudd, and Oscar Isaac, and musical guests like Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, and Billie Eilish (who also hosted).
Here's all the info you need about this Saturday night, as well as the next three weeks after that.
Unfortunately, tonight will not have a new Saturday Night Live
March 26, 2022 will not have a new episode of "Saturday Night Live." The show is currently in the midst of a two-week spring hiatus. The last new episode to air came on March 9, with "The Batman" star Zoë Kravitz and musical guest Rosalia. The next new episode of "Saturday Night" will come on April 2 (via Gold Derby).
Fortunately, there is some good news. On Monday, March 21, "Saturday Night Live's" official Instagram account announced the guest stars for the next two episodes. April 2's episode will be hosted by comedian and former "The Carmichael Show" star Jerrod Carmichael, with musical guest Gunna. After that, April 9's episode will have "Ambulance" star Jake Gyllenhaal on hosting detail, alongside musical guest Camila Cabello. Finally, April 16 will see another instance of a star pulling double hosting and musical guest duties, with Lizzo serving in both roles.
