Game Of Thrones Season 7 Finale Photos Reveal Intense Meeting, Lots Of Frowning
It's all been leading to this, and nobody looks happy about it.
In "The Dragon and the Wolf," the season 7 finale of Game of Thrones, we'll finally see Jon Snow (Kit Harington) come face-to-face with Queen Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey), while tensions run high throughout all of Westeros. HBO released a batch of images from the upcoming episode, and while we saw glimpses of what's to come in the teaser, the new images give us a more detailed look at one of the most important events in the show to date.
Most of the photos are from the meeting at the Dragonpit, a huge structure in King's Landing that House Targaryen once used as a stable for dragons. From what we know so far, Jon Snow wants to convince Cersei that the real war is with the Night King and the White Walkers. However, since Cersei is Cersei, she likely only cares about her grasp on the Iron Throne. We'll also get to see what will assuredly be an intense reunion between Cersei and Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) who now serves as the Hand to Daenerys (Emilia Clarke). Dany is conspicuously absent from the photos, which leads us to believe she'll make a grand entrance if she shows up.
Meanwhile, Sansa (Sophie Turner) clearly has a lot on her mind as her sibling rivalry with Arya (Maisie Williams) is getting dangerously out of hand. All the while, Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) seems as depressed as ever, likely watching everything unfold from his perch as the Three-Eyed Raven.
It all seems to come to a head with a massive clash of armies at King's Landing. But, remember, there's still one more season left after this. The big question is whether or not we'll get it next year or in 2019.
