Shia LaBeouf Has A Championship On The Line In Borg/McEnroe Trailer

Shia LeBeouf is causing a racket and playing tennis like his life depends on it in the newest trailer for upcoming tennis rivalry movie Borg/McEnroe

Also known as Borg vs McEnroe, the true-story sports movie teases the meeting of two tennis titans in a showdown that has been called, in real life, the greatest tennis match ever played.

The trailer shows LeBeouf at his best, agitated, yelling, and overall just doing it in the character of John McEnroe, which is all we can really ask for. On the other side of the equation, actor Sverrir Gudnason plays the Swedish tennis player Björn Borg, a calm and mechanically professional contrast to McEnroe's outsized, racket-smashing passion.

Also starring Stellan Skarsgard, Tuva Novotny, and Ian Blackman, Borg/McEnroe will debut at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 7, and will be released widely in the United Kingdom on September 22. A North American wide release date has yet to be announced.
