All Fun And Games - What We Know So Far

Teen horror has taken many shapes and forms over the years, as the tastes of audiences have evolved and expanded. From the slasher boom of the 1980s to Netflix's recent success with the "Fear Street" trilogy, the horror genre has seen plenty of success by tapping into the fears — and grisly deaths — of kids going through adolescence. Meanwhile, there are the horror properties that are specifically aimed at younger audiences, such as Nickelodeon's "Are You Afraid of The Dark," or the "Goosebumps" series.

With that in mind, an upcoming horror film seems tailormade to suit the wants of young moviegoers looking for a thrill. Bringing in some strong Hollywood talent both in front of the camera as well as behind the scenes, the movie is poised to introduce audiences to a new brand of supernatural horror.

On that note, let's dive into what we know about the upcoming release of "All Fun and Games."

All Fun And Games is a horror-thriller executive produced by The Russo Brothers

A recent report from Deadline has confirmed the beginning of production for the upcoming film "All Fun and Games." Executive produced by "Avengers: Endgame" directors Joe and Anthony Russo, the film centers on a trio of kids who raise a mysterious entity referred to as "The Skarrow" during a game.

The film is being directed by Ari Costa (a frequent Russo collaborator) and Eren Celeboglu. Production began on April 7, 2022.

Positioned as a thriller with horror elements, "All Fun And Games" has been described as a "summer movie" aimed at younger audiences. This arguably makes it seem comparable to 2019's "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark," which similarly aimed at bringing horror to younger crowds. As of right now, no release date has been confirmed for the film.

The report on production commencing for "All Fun And Games" also confirmed the casting "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" actor Asa Butterfield as well as "Stranger Things" star Natalia Dyer. Their casting in the project follows the recent addition of Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, who recently was seen in Netflix's "The Haunting of Bly Manor," "The Thing" actor Keith David, and "The Fall of the House of Usher" actress Annabeth Gish. Interestingly enough, all of these actors have strong pedigrees working in the realm of supernatural and sci-fi horror, and with all this talent involved, "All Fun and Games" is surely going to be a film to watch out for.
