Dan Stevens Is Charles Dickens In The Trailer For The Man Who Invented Christmas
There's a story behind every story, even those that seemed to exist forever.
Bleecker Street released the first official trailer for the upcoming Charles Dickens biopic The Man Who Invented Christmas, and it should answer all of your questions about where the inspiration came for the holiday classic A Christmas Carol.
Dan Stevens (Legion, Beauty and the Beast) plays the legendary author Dickens, and the film shows how he used real life experiences to conjure the characters of Ebenezer Scrooge and Tiny Tim, along with the timeless tale that became a staple of the holiday season.
Christopher Plummer (Up, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo) plays the mean-spirited Scrooge and Jonathan Pryce (Game of Thrones) plays Dickens' father.
Bharat Nallur (Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day) directed the biopic from a screenplay by Susan Coyne (Mozart in the Jungle), based on Les Standiford's book.
The Man Who Invented Christmas will arrive in theaters just in time for the holidays on Nov. 22. Until then, check out more movies that will blow everyone away this fall.
