No One Can Be Trusted In New Murder On The Orient Express Trailer
Tensions are rising swiftly on the Orient Express.
The most star-studded train ride in the history of modern cinema is preparing to leave the station in the new trailer for Kenneth Branagh's Murder on the Orient Express. Starring Branagh as the renowned investigator Hercule Poirot, the new adaptation of the 1974 Agatha Christie story has style for days, from the immaculately-costumed movie stars that make up the movie's close-quarters cast to the gorgeous cinematography of the cozy train set against the stark wilderness of winter.
The trailer provides a rundown of the roles actors will assume in the upcoming movie, all of them under suspicion for involvement in the murder of a passenger on the train. There's Johnny Depp (the Gangster), Daisy Ridley (the Governess), Penélope Cruz (the Missionary), Willem Dafoe (the Professor), Leslie Odom, Jr. (the Doctor), Josh Gad (the Assistant), Judi Dench (the Princess), Michelle Pfeiffer (the Widow), Derek Jacobi (the Butler), Olivia Colman (the Maid), Sergei Polunin (the Count) and Lucy Boynton (the Countess)—and all of them has a secret or two they aren't telling.
Murder on the Orient Express is a pretty old story, one that a lot of people already know the twists and turns to, but this trailer is the best argument yet for why another version of the movie was worth doing. It just looks beautiful, and you couldn't ask for a better cast to populate your locked-room murder mystery. Even if you know where this train is going, it looks like it's still going to be a ride worth taking.
Murder on the Orient Express is out in theaters on November 10. For more upcoming movies that are going to be worth checking out at the end of this year and beyond, check out our feature on movies that will blow everyone away in 2018.
