Paddington 2 Trailer Reveals Another Adorable Adventure
Paddington Bear is coming back to the big screen, and this time he's bringing Hugh Grant.
StudioCanal released the first full-length trailer for Paddington 2, the sequel to the 2014 hit based on the beloved children's books by Michael Bond, and it sets up the warm and fuzzy storyline.
In the film, Paddington (voiced by Ben Whishaw) gets his heart set on buying a pop-up book of London to send back home to his Aunt Lucy, and he takes on a series of odd jobs to buy it. Meanwhile, a thief has been plaguing the establishments of Windsor Gardens, and when the book is stolen, Paddington sets out to solve the mystery. He begins to suspect a washed up actor (Grant) who is something of a master of disguise, but somehow Paddington ends up wrongly accused of the crimes and sent to prison. There he teams with safecracker Knuckles McGinty (Brendan Gleeson) and their fellow inmates (all in pink uniforms) to clear his name and solve the case once and for all.
Paul King is back again as director and co-screenwriter along with returning cast members Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters, Peter Capaldi, and Jim Broadbent. Joanna Lumley and Richard Ayoade have cameos.
Paddington 2 will arrive in theaters Jan. 12, 2018.
