The Entourage Star You Likely Missed On Blue Bloods

Considering the sheer number of veteran character actors and "whatshisname" performers that have appeared on the first 12 seasons of "Blue Bloods," it's fairly easy to scroll through IMDb matching screening credits to faces. In fact, "Blue Bloods" has featured many famous actors you probably even forgot about. From "Cheers" veteran Bebe Neuwirth to former "Sleepy Hollow" star Orlando Jones to a plethora of others, many well-known actors and actresses have shot minor roles in multiple episodes of the CBS cop drama. Although some of these roles are of the blink-and-you'll-miss-them variety, others are more prominent.

For example, Neuwirth's character, Kelly Peterson, appeared in nine episodes across three seasons and even developed feelings for NYPD Commissioner Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) before she resigned from the department (via IMDb). Additionally, Whoopi Goldberg has also shared many scenes with Selleck in multiple episodes of "Blue Bloods," albeit portraying a character who is decidedly less friendly with him.

With such a wide variety of famous faces in the series, even diehard fans of "Blue Bloods" may not remember that one of the stars of "Entourage" was featured in two episodes of Season 7 and Season 8.

The former Johnny Drama played Jimmy O'Shea on Blue Bloods

Kevin Dillon isn't playing his "Entourage" character on "Blue Bloods," but Johnny Drama probably could have been cast as Jimmy O'Shea in another timeline.

In 2017, Dillon made his first appearance on the CBS procedural as Jimmy, Linda Reagan's (Amy Carlson) ne'er-do-well brother. The character first arrives in the series in Season 7, Episode 16 ("Hard Bargain"), when he is arrested for sneaking into someone's house. Although the owners of the home believe him to be a burglar, Jimmy eventually confesses to Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) that he is simply seeking refuge from the Mafia. Unfortunately, the gangsters quickly turn their sights on Danny and Linda's house. In the end, the only way to get the gangsters to back off is for Jimmy to accept a heavy beating. Luckily, he walks away from the encounter with his life.

However, in a move that is equally disappointing and unsurprising, Jimmy is unable to stay on the path of the straight and narrow. In Season 8, Episode 17 ("Close Calls"), Jimmy returns to the series attempting to pull off a credit card scheme by using information about Danny and Linda, the latter of whom is now deceased. Needless to say, Danny doesn't respond kindly to having his or his late wife's identity stolen. Danny quickly turns the tables on Jimmy when he and Baez (Marisa Ramirez) get him to wear a wire during a meeting with Albanian mobsters. Things naturally go south for Jimmy quickly, but he shows some bravery when he assists in their arrest. By the end of the episode, he also finally earns some grudging respect from Danny.
