The Good Place Star You Didn't Realize Joined The DC League Of Super-Pets Cast

With so many superhero projects coming out of the woodwork, it's easy for a few to get lost in the shuffle. But one you certainly don't want to lose sight of is the upcoming "DC League of Super-Pets." While it may not share any continuity with the mainline live-action DC films, it looks like a good time that's fun for the whole family.

Instead of following the eponymous superheroes, this movie instead focuses on their pets, who leap into action when the Justice League gets captured by Lex Luthor and his pet hairless guinea pig, Lulu. It's up to the pets to save them, using their own special powers in the process to take down the bad guys.

The film packs a lot of star power, including Dwayne Johnson as Krypto the Superdog as well as Kevin Hart as Ace, Batman's Boxer. They're joined by an incredible ensemble consisting of the likes of John Krasinski, Keanu Reeves, Diego Luna, Natasha Lyonne, and Olivia Wilde, to name a few. And if that wasn't enough, there's a star from the hit sitcom, "The Good Place," who's gotten in on the fun, too.

Jameela Jamil plays Wonder Woman in DC League of Super-Pets

Jameela Jamil started her career in the limelight as a television presenter, and now she's made it big as a bonafide actress. She broke out in a big way playing Tahani on "The Good Place," and now, the world is her oyster. With that show having ended, Jamil is open to a litany of other roles, including a spot on the voice cast for "DC League of Super-Pets."

Jamil will play Wonder Woman in animated form. Most people may associate the character with Gal Gadot in live-action, but Jamil is now putting her mark on the character and making it entirely her own. Warner Bros. announced the casting early in July 2022 by simply tweeting, "Jameela Jamil is Wonder Woman."

What's even more astonishing is that's not even the only comic book role Jamil has gotten this year. She'll also play Titania in the forthcoming "She-Hulk" series coming to Disney+. Titania will make her live-action debut in the show and function as an antagonist to the titular She-Hulk. One thing's abundantly clear: it's going to be an amazing couple of months for Jamil coming up.

"DC League of Super-Pets" arrives in theaters on July 29.
