John Wick's The Continental Series Just Found A New Home

The "John Wick" universe is expanding with "The Continental," an upcoming prequel miniseries that will delve deeper into the titular hotel that serves as a peaceful hangout spot for members of the criminal underworld. Per IMDb, Katie McGrath, Mel Gibson, and Peter Greene are among the names set to star on the spin-off series, which will take place in the 1970s and primarily revolve around a young Winston Scott (Colin Woodell).

In an interview with Fandom, Chad Stahleski revealed that the goal of the series is to explore different corners of the High Table's shadowy network and provide some fresh viewpoints. "The angle they're working on The Continental TV show right now is a different perspective on the whole world, it's coming at it from different characters' points of view and what the breadth of the world is," he said.

Action fans will agree that "The Continental" can't come soon enough. Unfortunately, we have to wait until 2023 before the show is before our eyes. With that in mind, where can fans watch the highly-anticipated action series when it finally drops?

The Continental is coming to Peacock

"The Continental" has found a new home on Peacock, according to a press release obtained by Looper. The streaming service has signed a "multi-year deal" with Lionsgate for the three-part event series, which was previously set to appear on Starz, and the main powers involved in the deal cannot wait for fans to see what they have in store.

"The John Wick films have become a global phenomenon, are among the most watched titles on Peacock and we are thrilled and honored to partner with Lionsgate to extend this incredible franchise," said Kelly Campbell on behalf of Peacock. Furthermore, Campbell is anticipating the action series to be the "streaming event of the year."

This sentiment was echoed by Lionsgate Television's Kevin Beggs, who described "John Wick" as a major part of the contemporary entertainment landscape before praising the streaming agreement. "We're delighted to partner with Peacock to continue expanding the John Wick Universe," adding that he believes the streaming service to be the "perfect home" for "The Continental."
