Rey Is Tempted By 'Something Else' In New Spot For Star Wars: The Last Jedi
The Star Wars galaxy has always been torn between two opposing forces: the light and the dark. But a new TV spot for The Last Jedi reveals there might be something else out there.
Arriving just three weeks before the movie finally hits theaters, the new spot centers on Rey (Daisy Ridley) as she trains to harness the powers of the Force with guidance from Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill). But when Luke asks Rey what she can see, she replies that "light, darkness, and something else" are all calling to her.
Luke shouts, "Resist it, Rey!," as he tries to break her from a deep trance. If nothing else, it's good to see Skywalker looking anything other than forlorn. For what it's worth, J.J. Abrams, who will direct Episode IX, said he'll be "upset" if Hamill doesn't win an Oscar for his performance in Rian Johnson's The Last Jedi.
So far, Lucasfilm has released two trailers for the flick, and there's still time for another big one. Either way, we'll be in line Dec. 15 when The Last Jedi lands in theaters.
