Experience
Carmen's career started in local video production around Central Pennsylvania. His love of storytelling, mixed with his keen interest in pop culture, led him to writing and editing work on The Superficial, a bygone snarky celebrity blog. Carmen began freelancing with Static Media in 2016, writing for Looper, Nicki Swift, Grunge, and The List. He joined the company full-time in 2017, becoming Nicki Swift's lead features editor soon thereafter. Carmen later advanced to editorial management, taking roles overseeing content production and editorial quality for multiple brands. In 2023, he accepted the role of editorial director for Static Media.
Education
Carmen has a bachelor's degree in communications/media from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
