She's been a features reporter and TV critic at the Tampa Bay Times and a digital producer at CBS affiliate WTSP. Chelsea has also contributed space features to Supercluster, Florida features to Creative Loafing and entertainment news and features to Dork Side of the Force and Winter Is Coming. With a master's in history and a love of pop culture, she's an expert on the importance of entertainment in history, writing her thesis on Walt Disney's impact on the early American space program in the 1950s and 1960s. She's also had several peer-reviewed articles published in a history journal about Great Depression cartoons, P.T. Barnum and the Transcontinental Railroad and a survey of major comics and superheroes during the 20th century's wars. She started contributing to Static Media in 2021, putting her love of movies, TV and history to good use writing features for Looper.
Education
Chelsea has a master's degree in history from American Public University and a bachelor's degree in mass communications and media studies from the University of South Florida.
