Expertise
Movies, TV, Pop Culture
- Dashel is a film and TV enthusiast, with years of experience writing about the medium.
- Straight out of college, he was put in the driver seat as Editor in Chief of an arts & culture magazine; he's been freelancing in the field ever since.
- He has interviewed some of the biggest names in film and TV, but his highlight (so far) has been Robert De Niro.
Experience
Dashel is a writer with multitudes of interests. In the past, he has dabbled in the disciplines of arts & culture, lifestyle, music, outdoors, film, TV, pop culture, essays, and more. But over the course of his journalistic career, he has always been drawn back into the world of celluloid, big screen and small. He still pursues his other curiosities, writing about them and otherwise, although his lifelong love of film and TV keeps coming back like an undead zombie or a mid-credits scene in a Marvel movie.
Education
After receiving his bachelor's degree from Los Angeles' Loyola Marymount University, Dashel kissed California goodbye (for two years) to pursue his master's degree from New York University.
