Emily graduated with a degree in English. She then started her career as a freelance writer, crafting articles about celebrity news and popular TV shows. She then progressed through the ranks as a news and features writer and editor before becoming the lead features editor on The List.

Emily graduated with a bachelor's degree in English Writing from William Paterson University. She's currently earning her master's degree in Digital Audience Strategy at Arizona State University.
