Experience
Jay has worked as a professional writer and comedian since 2006. As co-founder of the Toronto-based sketch comedy troupe The Boom, he has written and performed live sketch and improv alongside Colin Mochrie of "Whose Line?" and Scott Thompson of Kids in the Hall. He has previously performed at Second City, Vans Warped Tour, the LA Comedy Festival, and his comedy duo Jay & Eytan currently perform regularly at Caroline's, The New York Comedy Club, and continue to headline clubs and festivals across North America. Working directly under producer Stephen Joel Brown ("The Fugitive," "Se7en"), Jay co-created YouTube Comment Theater, with numerous videos featured on College Humor and Funny or Die. He began contributing to satirical publications The Hard Times and The Beaverton in early 2021, and took on more of a journalistic role at Cracked, writing numerous lists and articles about comedy, entertainment, science, history, and sports.
Education
Jay was awarded a full scholarship for English & Creative Writing to The Humber College Comedy Writing & Performance Program, where he trained in comedy and screenwriting under Saturday Night Live's Robin Duke, and SCTV's Joe Flaherty.
