Expertise
TV Theme Songs, '80s Pop Culture, Stephen King Books
- Jeff made his debut as a professional film critic with a review of the Pauly Shore/Brendan Fraser teen caveman comedy Encino Man.
- He founded the long-running pop culture site Popdose in 2008.
- He's written three books — an oral history of One Life to Live, a collection of beer trivia, and a supernatural comedy novel.
Experience
Jeff started writing about entertainment for money before he was old enough to drive — a passion that's led to bylines at a long list of print and digital publications over the last several decades. The film, television, and publishing industries have changed a great deal since he started, but pop culture's unique ability to move and bind us remains the same — which is one part of why he's happy to have helped cultivate Looper's fan-friendly voice.
Education
Jeff has a history degree from California State University's East Bay campus.
