Experience
An unapologetic nerd when it comes to movies and writing, it only makes sense that Larry bolted for Hollywood as soon as he graduated college. Soon after, he helped launch CountingDown.com, a pioneering movie website eventually acquired by DreamWorks. Next came a lengthy stint as the Senior Film Correspondent for MTV News, where he created the massively-popular "Twilight Tuesdays," a viral media sensation that put a certain group of sparkly vampires on the pop culture roadmap. Now a producer as well as writer, Larry's next stop was Microsoft, where he wrote, produced, and conducted interviews with Hollywood's top names on behalf of Xbox and other MSN outlets. A love for all sides of the movie business next led to an exciting position working with Paramount Pictures, Hasbro, and Michael Bay on the "Transformers" film franchise. Larry has been with Looper since 2020, writing film reviews and editing features on film and television. His work has been translated into different languages all over the world, has been profiled by the LA Times, and has appeared in everything from Roger Ebert film books to the Times Square ticker. Other bylines over the years include E! News, IGN, Zap2it and USA Today.
Education
Graduating from a venerated New England university with an English degree, Larry interned with NBC News and regularly penned a column for the school paper — beginning a lifelong love for the written word, the excitement of a newsroom, and the power of telling stories about those who tell stories.
