Experience
Mike has worked in digital media since 2007 when he was hired by Anticlown Media as the head writer for The Superficial. When the site was acquired by SpinMedia (formerly BuzzMedia) in 2009, his role was expanded to editor-in-chief as he oversaw site operations while still serving as the main editorial voice for the popular gossip blog, building its audience to 10 million monthly users at its peak. In 2017, Mike embarked on a freelance writing career, which saw him leverage his love of politics and pop culture at The Daily Banter, Nicki Swift, and Pajiba before writing under the TV/Film and Viral verticals for Uproxx from 2020 to 2024. Mike has returned to the Static Media fold, serving as a news editor for Nicki Swift and The List.
Education
Mike has a bachelor's degree in journalism from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP).
