Are NCIS's Mark Harmon And Rocky Carroll Friends In Real Life?

By MIKE BEDARD

“NCIS” has been going strong since 2003, and the actors have such good chemistry that many fans wonder if they're friends in real life. Mark Harmon recently took a break from the series, which was undoubtedly tough on his coworkers, particularly Rocky Carroll, who plays NCIS Director Leon Vance.

Carroll and Harmon have a friendship that goes back to the ‘90s, when they starred on “Chicago Hope” together. In fact, Carroll has said that Harmon’s recommendation was one of the big reasons that he got the gig on “NCIS.”

The two actors worked together on “NCIS” for over a decade, and their natural chemistry brought a lot to their characters’ relationship. Carroll said that the two of them had “fun going back and forth,” and added that “it’s good to have friends in the right places.”
