It's been nearly two decades since Mel Gibson came under fire for an anti-Semitic tirade during a widely-publicized DUI arrest. Gibson’s career has since recovered and his "Daddy's Home 2" and "Father Stu" co-star Mark Wahlberg had this to say about working with him.
In a recent interview Wahlberg said, "[Gibson] has a lot of real-life experience, and to be able to go in and be as raw as he was, he did a fantastic job." After filming their first movie together — 2017's "Daddy's Home 2" — Wahlberg said he immediately knew what kind of person Gibson really was and wanted to continue working with him.
"It would be a dream to hear Mel say 'action' and 'cut,'" Wahlberg explained to People in 2018. Wahlberg also told The Federalist in April 2022, “He has been through lots of struggles and challenges but wants to continue to do good."
