Marvel Executive Says The MCU Is Doomed After Loki - Here's Why

According to a report from Variety, the end of "Loki" Season 2 has the MCU in a dicey situation regarding Jonathan Majors, who plays Kang the Conqueror.
The Season 2 finale doubles down on Kang being the next big villain in the MCU, but a series of domestic violence allegations have Majors facing trial at the end of November 2023.
"Marvel is truly f***d with the whole Kang angle," one source told Variety after seeing the finale. "[...] I don't see a path to how they move forward with him."
Marvel execs discussed various potential solutions back in September, including recasting Majors or rewriting the story to center around a new lead villain like Dr. Doom.
Variety also cited reports that Marvel could bring back original MCU stars like Robert Downey Jr., but with interest in the franchise fading fast, it might be too little, too late.
