Spider-Man: No Way Home Concept Art Shows The Meetup That Was Scrapped
By SHANE O'NEILL
“Spider-Man: No Way Home” brought together the iconic trio of Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire, but there was one meet-up the audience didn’t get to see in the film.
In the book “Spider-Man: No Way Home – The Art Of The Movie,” it was revealed via concept art that a confrontation between Holland’s Spider-Man and J. Jonah Jameson was scrapped.
The image shows Spider-Man meeting J. Jonah Jameson at the news anchor’s home studio. Spidey is wearing the “Far From Home” suit, and Jameson is only dressed from the waist up.
It indicates that this face-off could’ve occurred early in “No Way Home” and that Jameson wasn’t prepared at all. The scene seems comedic, but it probably had a serious edge.
We didn’t get to see this scene in “No Way Home,” but we hope the opportunity will come again in a future project. There are plenty of possibilities to play with in the MCU.
