Ted Lasso: Who Plays Sam Obisanya’s Dad?

In “Ted Lasso” Season 3, Episode 7, we finally get to meet Sam Obisanya’s father, Ola Obisanya, and he’s played by prolific actor Nonso Anozie.
Anozie’s most recent credits include playing pirate king Gorian Shard on “The Mandalorian,” the voice of Wyvern on “The Sandman,” and Tommy Jepperd in Netflix's “Sweet Tooth.”
His earliest screen appearances were in the 2007 multi-Oscar award nominee “Atonement” and the Mike Leigh dramedy “Happy-Go-Lucky.”
However, a good number of his most recognizable roles are in genre films or TV series, like his portrayal of the merchant Xaro Xhoan Daxos in Season 2 of “Game Of Thrones.”
Other career highlights include Guy Ritchie's “RocknRoll,” the survivalist drama “The Grey,” the 2013 adaptation of “Ender's Game,” and the 2020 “Artemis Fowl” movie.
