The Batman 2’s Villain Rumor Is Perfect - Here's Why
By NICK STANIFORTH

Director Matt Reeves has his eyes set on 2025 for his “The Batman” follow-up, “The Batman Part II.” However, the question remains on who the villain will be.

In October 2023, rumors surfaced that Hush would make his big-screen debut in the upcoming sequel as the antagonist to Robert Pattinson’s Dark Knight.

First appearing in 2002 with Batman #609, Hush is a master manipulator who puppeteers some of our hero’s most feared enemies to help him attempt to bring down the hero.

Hush

If the rumor is true, Hush could set up exciting opportunities for the future while addressing one of the biggest issues audiences had with Pattinson’s first run as Batman.

Although Pattinson did a fantastic job as the character, much of his time on screen was spent as Batman rather than his alter ego, billionaire Bruce Wayne.

Bruce Wayne

In the comics, Hush is Bruce’s childhood friend, Thomas Elliot, and is trying to ruin the hero’s life. Having Hush in the film could see Bruce become a more significant figure.

In the original comic story arc, Hush unleashes some of the Dark Knight’s deadliest foes,

like Killer Croc and Poison Ivy, while watching from a distance.

Other Villians

While a showdown between Batman and The Joker is inevitable and has already been teased, Hush might leave the audience wanting to see less of the Clown Prince of Crime.

The Joker

In the comics, Hush goes as far as to force the Joker out of Gotham while he works on its hero. Including Hush in the film could introduce casual fans to a new, terrifying foe.
