The "Star Wars" Disney+ series "Obi-Wan Kenobi" has reached its finale, and the last chapter of the show involves the character Reva having a change of heart and burying her Inquisitor lightsaber in the sands of Tatooine. Some fans actually found the serious moment humorous, especially those who really keep their tabs on "Star Wars" lore.
It all started on the "Star Wars" subreddit, when user u/bigbruin78 asked, "how many lightsabers are stowed on Tatooine?". Another user, u/your_mind_aches, replied that at least five characters in the current canon — Reva, Obi-Wan, Anakin, Luke, and Leia — have buried a lightsaber on the desert planet at some point.
It's pretty funny to imagine that the many "Star Wars" writers over the years never noticed this pattern, and now the sands of Tatooine are positively rife with discarded lightsabers. Reddit users joked that Maz Kanata — who eventually obtains Luke's lightsaber — "sent a dude with a metal detector and just happened to find it."
