Jenna Fischer is primarily recognized for her work as Pam Beesly in NBC's popular mockumentary sitcom "The Office." Outside of her time at Dunder Mifflin, Fischer has also appeared in several films, including one that’s radically different from everything else she's done, and it's one of James Gunn's darkest movies to date.
Fischer starred in "Slither,” Gunn’s black comedy that incorporated aspects of traditional science fiction and horror films into one slimy concoction. Fischer plays Shelby Cunningham, a secretary of the police department of the Wheelsy, South Carolina, and ends up as a victim of the film’s alien creature.
Gunn's distinctive style of blending action and comedy is on full display which manages to blur the lines between being absolutely hysterical one moment, and downright disturbing the next. Her role in the film is extremely minor, but it is worth mentioning that at the time of filming she and Gunn were married, though they divorced two years later.
