The Truth About
Constance Nunes
From Car
Masters: Rust To
Riches
By ROBERT BALKOVICH
Fans of both seasons of “Car Masters: Rust To Riches” have grown to love Constance Nunes because she's a serious and talented mechanic, who brings a lifetime of experience to her job. If her Netflix debut left you curious to know more, read on.
Nunes works as a model when she's not salvaging engine parts and has appeared in print campaigns for Jockey and Wrangler. In the garage, confidence is key for Nunes, and she's earned the title of engine specialist for a good reason.
With a father who was a race car driver, Nunes grew up around cars and seemed destined for the automobile industry. She has worked in the service departments for car brands such as Ford, Acura, and BMW, and also worked on cars for a variety of garages around Los Angeles.
When she’s not in the garage or modeling, Nunes can be found on film sets, where she has worked as a stuntwoman and background performer in “Dodgeball” and several of the “Bring It On” movies. She has also appeared in several music videos, including one for Pitbull.
Nunes doesn't shy away from talking about being a woman in an industry that is, at least in popular perception, primarily male-dominated. Of this, Nunes said, “...it's more that, not that I'm a trailblazer, but like I'm a representative. And I'm doing my best to be the best representative."
