IMDb scores show that "The Flash" Season 8, Episode 6 titled "Impulsive Excessive Disorder" has the lowest rating of any other episode of the season, so far. The episode sees Nora and Bart, the children of Barry and Iris, return to the future to find that they have unintentionally changed their world.
Alex Gherzo, of Geeks + Gamers, gave readers a scathing review of the installment writing "[Nora and Bart are} cartoons come to life, ripped out of a children's show and put on prime time for an audience that outgrew them when they graduated to numbered school grades," He continues, "They're difficult enough to tolerate in supporting roles, but an entire hour with them at the helm is excruciating."
Fans took to Reddit to say they were baffled by the time travel storyline and the fact that the ramifications of Nora and Bart’s actions didn’t really make sense. Most users agreed that loose time travel rules become an easy (or lazy) way for writers to create different storylines out of whole cloth and to viewers the storytelling device is less convenient and more troublesome.
