“Young Sheldon” fans may be delighted to know that Emily Osment, who plays Mandy McAllister, has been upgraded to series regular for Season 6. While Osment, now 30, plays Georgie Cooper’s pregnant girlfriend on the show, her career started when she was quite young.
Osment was just seven when her first film, “The Secret Life of Girls,” came out, and she landed her breakout role as Gerti Giggles in 2002’s “Spy Kids 2: Island of Lost Dreams.” At age 15, began playing Lilly Truscott, best friend of Miley Cyrus’ lead character, on Disney Channel’s “Hannah Montana.”
After “Hannah Montana,” Osment smoothly transitioned out of Disney and into a starring role on the sitcom “Young & Hungry.” She also appeared on multiple sitcoms created by “The Big Bang Theory” and “Young Sheldon” creator Chuck Lorre, including “Two and a Half Men,” “Mom,” and “The Kominsky Method.”
