HBO Max's "The Rehearsal," created by and starring Nathan Fielder, has a unique premise as Fielder helps individuals rehearse a potentially stressful moment in their lives by building elaborate sets and hiring actors to play the actual individuals. After the first episode of the show, some fans may be wondering why Fake Tricia looks so familiar.
In "The Rehearsal," Fake Tricia is played by Gigi Burgdorf, who has been working as an actor since 2002 when she appeared in an episode of the TV series "Crime Team." She has had minor roles on tv shows, short films, and feature movies but it's safe to say that "The Rehearsal" is Burgdorf's most widely-seen gig so far.
Following the release of the first episode, “Orange Juice, No Pulp," many fans of "The Rehearsal" took to Twitter to express how much they loved Burgdorf's performance of Fake Tricia. Burgdorf retweeted several enthusiastic fans' tweets, and one said, "Starting my 2023 Emmy campaign for the actress who played fake Tricia in the first episode of The Rehearsal."
