Grace Van Patten made her acting debut with "The Sopranos" and appeared in two episodes of Season 6 as Ally Pontecorvo. While Timothy Van Patten — her father and a frequent director for the series — helped her bag the audition, she got the role thanks to her talent.
The Sopranos
Van Patten landed her first leading role in "Tramps," which premiered at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival before being made available on Netflix. She portrayed one of two criminals forced to work together on the same heist and immediately fell in love with the character.
Tramps
After an intense audition process, Van Patten co-starred in "The Meyerowitz Stories" opposite a slew of big names — Adam Sandler, Ben Stiller, and Dustin Hoffman. She loved being part of the ensemble drama and described her experience as unreal and amazing.
The Meyerowitz Stories
In “Mayday,” Van Patten’s character Ana joins a female army whose mission is to lure men to their deaths, but soon Ana begins to question whether she has it in her to go through with these crimes. The originality and uniqueness of the story drew Van Patten to the project.
Mayday
In the 2021 Hulu drama "Nine Perfect Strangers," Van Patten was a member of a star-studded cast with the likes of Nicole Kidman, Michael Shannon, and Melissa McCarthy. Van Patten — a huge fan of everyone in the series — described it as "a really beautiful experience."
