THIS STORY CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR "X-Men: The Animated Series."

SPOILER WARNING!

The beloved ‘90s cartoon “X-Men: The Animated Series” is getting a revival through the upcoming show “X-Men ‘97,” which will pick up where the original series left off. As if fans couldn’t get even more excited, the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con gave a first look at how Magneto will appear in the show, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive.
Magneto will become the leader of the X-Men in the new series, presumably taking over Charles Xavier’s school after the latter’s departure at the end of the original series. He also boasts a new look, complete with long, white hair and a purple outfit with a large "M" on the front, which is incredibly reminiscent of his get-up from “The Uncanny X-Men” series.
Fans are absolutely loving this reveal, with some simply responding with “WOAH” or “SICKKKKKKKKK”; one confirmed on Twitter that Magneto indeed wore this outfit while leading the X-Men in the comics. “X-Men '97” is slated to come out in the fall of 2023, but it's safe to say the hype is already through the roof on this project.
